Airdocs EFA is a secure software system and you can be confident using it within your organization.
The system enforces the existing user and group privileges on your LAN that are maintained by NT
domain or Active Directory. In addition, the system uses strong encryption to ensure that any data
it transmits is undecipherable, even if it is being transmitted
within an already secure VPN.
Authentication and Access Privileges
You do not have to manage user account information within Airdocs. This is because the
system hooks in to your existing the NT domain or Active Directory. Individual threads of execution within
the Airdocs EFA server process actually log themselves in as the user on who's behalf they are running, which
guarantees that remote access through Airdocs provides the user with exactly the same privileges they have
when accessing their file shares normally.
Strong Encryption
Airdocs EFA applies powerful encryption to all of its data communications, adding an additional layer
of security even within a VPN. The encryption used is so powerful you can even be confident running the
system outside of a VPN over the raw Internet, if a route can be made through your firewall to the Airdocs
server (Airdocs is able to login independently of the Windows session so long as valid credentials
are available). This can be used to provide customers, freelancers and other third parties with restricted
access to internal file shares, and to reduce the number of VPN clients that must be installed and maintained
on remote and mobile machines. Airdocs uses maximum strength 1024 bit Diffie-Hellman Secret Key Exchange and
Blowfish to create secure connections.
